You're the shooter. Every round has two phases. Most of the game is just the pass line plus odds, which are also the best bets in the casino.
Put a chip on the Pass Line, then roll.
Keep rolling. Roll the point again before a 7 and the pass line wins. Roll a 7 first ("seven out") and it loses, then a new come-out starts. Every other number doesn't matter for the pass line.
Once there's a point, you can add an odds bet behind your pass line. It pays true odds, so the house has no edge on it. This app adds odds for you automatically (the 1× / Max toggle), or tap the Pass Odds strip.
| Point | Odds pay | Chance before a 7 |
|---|---|---|
| 4 or 10 | 2 to 1 | 1 in 3 |
| 5 or 9 | 3 to 2 | 2 in 5 |
| 6 or 8 | 6 to 5 | 5 in 11 |
A Come bet is a pass line bet you make after the point is set. Its next roll acts as its own come-out (7/11 wins, 2/3/12 loses). Otherwise it moves to that number, gets its own odds, and wins if the number repeats before a 7. It's how you get more numbers working with low house edge.
Tap a number box to place it. It wins every time that number rolls before a 7, and stays up after it wins. Place 6 and 8 (pays 7 to 6) are decent at 1.52% edge. 4 and 10 are much worse at 6.67%. Place bets are off during the come-out roll.
Don't Pass and Don't Come are the reverse: you're betting on the 7. 2 or 3 wins, 12 pushes, 7 or 11 loses on the come-out, then you win if a 7 comes before the point. The edge is slightly lower (1.36%), but you're rooting against the table, so expect a few looks.
The Field is one roll: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 win. 2 and 12 pay double. It feels like you're winning a lot, but 5, 6, 7, 8 (the most common rolls) all lose. Hardways need doubles (hard 8 = 4+4) before a 7 or the easy way. The center props are one-roll long shots. All of these are high house edge, so play them for fun, not as strategy.
Best Pass or Don't Pass with max odds, plus Come/Don't Come with odds. OK Place 6 and 8. Avoid Field, hardways, props, place 4/10.
Payouts and edges per the Wizard of Odds craps guide. Field payouts vary by casino; this table pays double on 2 and 12.
